• I am looking to have search functionality expanded on a client’s site. Right now, when a keyword or even specific term is entered, the search results show only the page title. You can then click through that page title link and scroll through the page to find what was searched for.

I would like for the search to not just show the page title. I would like to see some text and a link to the specific search term/keyword and then be able to click directly through to the exact spot that we’re searching for.

For example, we have pages with class listings.

    Theatre
    Music
    Fitness
    Dance (with child menus under)
    Enrichment (with child menus under)
    etc

If I search for a class called “Storybook Cook” I just get the page title ‘Cooking’ as a result. Then I can click on ‘Cooking’ and scroll down to find the class. I would like the actual class description as it is on the ‘Cooking’ page to also appear on the search…and to have that description available as a link directly to the “Storybook Cook” class.

Another example is if I type in the keywords hip hop, I would like all instances of hip hop classes to appear as search results. Again, I just get page titles for dance, recital classes, dance company, etc but again no specific class descriptions as are found on those pages of the site.

I am using Cookie Theme and Visual Composer.

Is your plugin capable of doing this? As free or pro version and are there specific settings to look at?

    Thank you!

I’ve checked the site url you posted and I don’t think the plugin can work in the way you described, at least not with major code changes.

It is designed to find independent posts rather than specific parts within a single post, which if I am not mistaken is what you hope to achieve?
