I use My LIfe theme, which I just love, and is working so well for me. But, I would like to have a bit more flexibility with category and page, or even post, templates. I would like to use the single column template for certain category/page/post. When I use the built it customization with the theme, changing from 2 columns to 1 column, it changes ALL the posts. Does this plugin have anything to do with it?

I have a child theme set up, but not sure what to do next.

What’s the right way to create new templates? Do you have a plugin for that?
