    Hello,

When I try to configure SMTP 3rd party configuration with latest Chrome version and Mailpoet version 2 (latest), the plugin thinks the password field is empty and tried to insert the WordPress’ AdminCP password instead of the SMTP password. This happens even if there is a password configured in the SMTP email password field.

The browser thinks it’s empty field and thus inserts the AdminCP password, so it creates a bug in which every time somebody saves the configuration page without changing the password, it would change the password and create an SMTP error. There is a need to disable the password field and only if a user wants to change the password, there would be a need to activate the field again.

I’ve tried to blame my 3rd party SMTP service for hours until I’ve discovered this.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Hey Mike, sorry for the late answer.

Yes, our own browsers try at times to insert its remember password in MailPoet and elsewhere too.

    Annoying!
