    In version 5.3, you’ve said:
“Reduced plugin size – We’ve made the plugin smaller, so it uses less space and runs more smoothly on your server.”

I can’t see any reduction in size. The plugin was 172.92MB in version 5.2.3 and is 173.69MB in version 5.3, so actually an increase

Is there something I need to do (e.g. uninstall / reinstall) to get the smaller plugin size?

It seems that it is the AWS (62.43MB) and microsoft (79.98MB) folders (under the ‘vendor folder) that are using the most space. Considering a lot of people won’t even need/use those folders (if they’re not backing up to AWS or microsoft), is there some way of making those ‘addons’ so that we don’t have to have the bloat if we don’t need it?

Your plugin is the biggest one I have – even bigger than woocommerce (80.79MB)

Thank you for the ability in 5.3 to have database and files in the same backup.

    Hi,

Thank you for checking and sharing this with us.

You are right; despite the efforts to optimize, the overall plugin size has not reduced much yet. We have passed this feedback to our development team for further review.

We are also looking into options for better handling of storage modules in the future, so users can avoid having unused components installed.

Appreciate your input, it really helps us improve.
