    Hello,

SEMRush and my 404 Monitor plugin continually throws up a “Sitemap can’t be found” error for a taxonomy that i’ve created on my site. If you have encountered this before, can you please advise how I can fix. I have another Taxonomy created with a sitemap using your plugin also without issue.

    Thank you

What’s the sitemap URL for one that’s working at the moment?

Are you using a different plugin to generate these? or are you letting WordPress itself generate basic ones?

The other taxonomy created with your plugin is /pet-sitemap.xml

I’m using Rank Math for my Sitemaps

I have to believe it’s either a settings difference between the two taxonomies within Rank Math, or potentially one of the settings you used with CPTUI when registering the taxonomies. Not something we’d have control over at the code level.

I can’t see any differences in the settings for the two sitemaps in Rank Math. However before I reach out to them to query direct, I’ve attached a screenshot link to how the two taxonomies are setup via CPTUI. I do see some differences in the vernacular in the right hand column.

Do you see anything further here that may assist with troubleshooting?

    Thanks in advance.

No notable differences that I can see between the two. The settings column would be where i checked first if I was able to log in.

Does the protein taxonomy sitemap settings have “show even if empty terms” toggled? I think my local install was giving a 404 error for that sitemap when it didn’t also include empty terms, but would have once i had some content assigned as well.

Also just in case, on a whim, perhaps refresh your permalinks settings by visiting the permalinks settings page, and clicking save, without actually editing anything.
