I am trying to set up Site Kit and when I click sign in with google, I grant access to my account, but then it takes me to a page that says the following:

    Error: Bad Request
    missing parameter: ‘code’

    Please advise.

    Hi there @wesdesigns,

Thanks for reaching out. So we can understand more on your current setup, and ensure you can get connected, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Did you have Site Kit setup on this site previously, maybe even on another domain, before migrating?
    3. Would you be able to provide a screen recording of this experience, using a service such as Loom or RecordIt? If possible you can show any browser console errors on the page with the error. To share the screen recording you can use the same form used to share your Site Health information, above.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    I have the same error:

    New site, new install

    1. Sign in with Google

    2. Site Kit wants additional access to your Google Account

    3. Error: Bad Request. missing parameter: ‘code’

    Version 1.73.0
    PHP 7.4.29
    WordPress 5.9.3

PS I also tried it with 1.72 and got the same error. When I tried it with 1.69 I got “Error: Bad Request. missing parameter: ‘nonce'”

@arielshome Many thanks for sharing your details. So we can best serve you and communicate with you individually can you please open an individual support topic as per WordPress forum guidelines? After doing so please share your Site Health information and if possible include a screen recording of your experience using a service such as Loom or RecordIt.

Within the video recording please show and browser console errors that appear on the same screen where you encounter the error.

If you need any help with the above let me know.

@wesdesigns Just following up with you to check whether the same issue remains on your site? If so please share what browser you’re using. If you happen to be using Chrome please check for the same issue from an incognito browsing session, with no browser extensions active, and inform me how you get on.

I ask as we’ve had other reports of this using a particular browser, and also with a browser extension.

@wesdesigns We’ve received a Site Health information form response referencing this support topic. If this was from you I’ve checked your site and details provided and I don’t see anything obvious causing this error. Please do however inform me if you encounter the same error when checking from a Chrome browser incognito window.
