Site Kit Config not finalizing
-
Hi,
Back to this topic where the same issue occurs. I deactivated the payment plugin but nothing changes.
Any other option to fix this and make this happen? I’m stuck for my upcoming Christmas campaigns.
Thanks,S

Thanks for getting in touch once more, and sorry to hear you’re encountering issues setting up Site Kit. What you can do, given I suspect a third party plugin conflict, is to first of all temporarily deactivate WooCommerce before trying to set up Site Kit once more. This is an alternative troubleshooting suggestion to the previous suggestion regarding using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, which for some reason isn’t working on your site.
Do let me know how you get on with setting up Site Kit when WooCommerce is temporarily deactivated. If the same occurs, please share an updated version of your Site Health information (while WooCommerce is temporarily deactivated).
I’m stuck for my upcoming Christmas campaigns.
Understood. I’m certain we can determine the cause, or at the very least ensure Site Kit does get connected with the above workaround regarding WooCommerce temporarily deactivated. Note that you can use Google Ads without Site Kit should this be an urgent task.
I’ll keep an eye out for your response. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.
Are you sure I can deactivate WooCommerce? Deactivate is greyed out in my plugins section.
Thanks,S
Thanks for the update @sebollet. Are you using a network install, or do you have other dependent plugins on WooCommerce? Alternatively, are you using a custom role, where some of the permissions to install or activate plugins are missing?
In the most likely of the above, I suspect you can’t directly deactivate WooCommerce based on other plugins depending on WooCommerce. If you make a note of all WooCommerce related plugins. you can deactivate those first, before then deactivating WooCommerce. I did take a look at your previously shared Site Health information, and I believe the below may need to be deactivated first:
- Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce
- Colissimo shipping methods for WooCommerce
- FOX – Currency Switcher Professional for WooCommerce
- Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer
- PayPlug pour WooCommerce (Officiel)
- PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce
- UpsellWP – WooCommerce Upsell and Related Products Offers
- Variation Swatches for WooCommerce
- WooCommerce PayPal Payments
While not ideal, you will need to temporarily deactivate the above before doing the same for WooCommerce. Note this is temporary, and is an alternative to using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin given it’s not working on your site.
Do let me know how you get on with the above. After WooCommerce is temporarily deactivated, please go ahead and set up Site Kit once more. Please ask if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.
I’m just following up with you to check whether Site Kit works as expected with the above plugins temporarily deactivated?
Hi,
I can not deactivate all of these. Too many chances that it will lead to bigger issues.
Instead of going through Site Kit, can I use a GTM instead? All I want is to put pixels on the website to run conversion campaigns.
Thanks,
SI can understand that @sebollet. And yes, you can indeed use Tag Manager to add various code snippets to your site if you wish, without using Site Kit. The steps to do so can be found here. This is based on a non-full site editing theme.
Note that the previous suggestion to set up Site Kit via the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin would have been ideal, as other plugins are not deactivated in full. Given there are issues with your site using this plugin, you may wish to deactivate the other plugins suggested above, but only one by one, attempting to set up Site Kit after each deactivate. That would help pinpoint a possible conflicting plugin.
Do let me know if you have any further questions with the above. Thank you.
As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
