    Hello,
My hosting provider is offering me a hosting package at the same price as at present, but which would increase the speed of my site.
What makes me hesitate is that currently the size of my database can be a maximum of 2 MB, whereas with this new package, the size of the database cannot exceed 1 MB.
I have no idea what this means.

My site dates back to 2012 and its database is currently 162 MB.
I added a forum a few months ago, and there are about 5 posts a week.
Do you think this will increase my database much? What would you do in my place?

    Thanks a lot!

PS: I hope my text is understandable, otherwise excuse me, I’m French and my English goes back to my school days…

Did you mean 2GB and 1GB?

If not, how can this be:

My site dates back to 2012 and its database is currently 162 MB.

    I apologize for the error…

    I’m correcting my text:
    Yes, it’s 2GB and 1GB.
My current database can be up to 2GB, currently it’s 162 MB.
With the new formula, it will be 1GB maximum.

Do you think I can accept this offer, which gives me greater speed but reduces the maximum size of my database from 2GB to 1GB?

Finally, my hosting provider automatically upgraded my site to the new offer without modifying the size of the database, so everything’s perfect.
