Shortcode ????

    I cannot figure out how to create the shortcode – I copied something in the FAQs, but there should be a list of all of them – I tried adding hide_for=”yes” but that doesn’t work. I assume the email before download settings is supposed to create a shortcode with the information I provide, but it does absolutely nothing!!

    I have create a download and a form and using the code that I found in the FAQs it displays the form on a page and when tested the file appears to allow the download, however I want to hide the form and add a thumbnail – i.e. customize but it is not intuitive at all.

    Hi @silkweb,

    The email before download the plugin utilizes both the download monitor plugin and the contact form 7 plugin. The shortcode must satisfy both of these plugins. This is why it asks for both the contact form id and download id. We apologize for the frustration this has caused you. We realize that customizing shortcode is not the most intuitive, which is why we are developing a pro version that includes a shortcode builder. Unfortunately, currently, the plugin is not very customizable/flexible. The hide option only works with multiple download files. Apologies for the confusion this should be more clear, and we will fix this. If you refer to the screenshots, there are helpful shortcodes provided.
