I’d like to restrict access to some galleries so only specific clients can see them. Ideally, I want to set a password for each gallery, and when a visitor enters it once, they should be able to browse all albums inside that gallery without re-entering it.

Does the plugin support individual gallery password protection natively, or do I need to use a third-party membership tool?

Another question is whether the thumbnails of protected galleries can be hidden from the general public, showing only a lock icon or message instead. I need this for client photo delivery, so security and privacy are very important.

Thank you for your question, and it’s great to hear you’re thinking about privacy and client access.

We’re happy to share that we’re currently in the final testing stage of password-protected galleries, and the feature works exactly as you described:

You’ll be able to set a unique password for each gallery, so only authorized visitors can access it.

Once a user enters the password, they’ll be able to browse all albums inside that gallery without needing to re-enter it.

Protected galleries can also display a lock icon or message instead of thumbnails until the password is entered, ensuring privacy for client-only content.

This feature is coming very soon in one of the next releases.

If you’d like, we can notify you as soon as it’s available, or even include you in early testing so you can start using password protection right away.
