    Hi @stagger-lee,

The option automatically selects what WordPress would’ve selected otherwise for you.
It’s also rather deeply embedded into the UI framework, so it’s hard to filter out.

I’ll take your suggestion and I’ll implement a filter for the upcoming 3.1 update. Keep an eye out for the developer section in the changelog.

When it’s a popular request I’ll turn it into an option later. In any case, I don’t think it’s intrusive and I believe it’s quite self-explanatory; especially since there’s an annotating tooltip right above it.

    Happy holidays! 🙂

Happy holidays Sybre, and thank you.

Got a bit dizzy of all those rounded check boxes. If category name is long boxes are not inline, and happens one category has 2 check boxes inline. Very confusing.

But regardless styling and layout I would be thankful for a filter to disable it. There are really websites where this is not needed.

That’s a very valid concern. I’ll see if I can truncate or –even better– multi-line the category names. Cheers 🙂

I’ve added the UI bug issue to the 3.1 release on GitHub:
    https://github.com/sybrew/the-seo-framework/issues/246

The filter addition is noted internally.
