Since MailPoet’s own script is no longer available, which is better to use:

WordPress built-in cron or Visitors to your website?

And also, if no one logs into Wp Admin, or if there is little traffic on the website itself near the time of the scheduled send, does that mean the scheduled emails will not be sent??

    Hello there @pinfante

Thank you for contacting MailPoet support. I will be happy to help you with this.

If your website does not receive much traffic (e.g., 10 or fewer visitors per hour) and you need your emails to be sent exactly when scheduled then I’d suggest you set up Server side cron (Linux cron)

If your hosting provider restricts daily/weekly CPU usage & you don’t schedule your emails and send them upon creation, then you can use either setup the WordPress built-in cron or Visitors to your website.

Of course, feel free to reach out to us if you need further assistance or you have other questions and we’d be happy to help.

    Have a great day!
