Script error in Theme – Customize – Invalid Argument popup

    When I go to customize theme I get a popup that says Line 284 invalid argument.
    When I run the IE8 debugger, it points to this below(partial script). I have no idea how to remedy the situation and I am not extremely technical in code.

    Original post didn’t highlight the code that was highlighted by the debugger.
    Here it is below:
    return this.href.toLowerCase()===location.href.toLowerCase()
