My site, mountaingoattrail.org opens without a problem, but when I try the wp-admin page I get this message:

“Safari can’t open the page. Too many redirects occurred trying to open (website name).” This may occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page, which is then redirected to open the original page.”

I can’t say for certain but this may be the first time since I upgraded WP.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

Try clearing your cache and deleting your cookies.

    Cheers.

    Hi Lonely,
Cleared all history, cookies, and the cache, but the problem remains.

Try deactivating your plugins to see if any are causing that.

    Hi!

Can you login through wp-login? Have you changed the site_url recently in the settings? Also try backing up your htaccess file and then delete all the contents from the htaccess in your root directory and try login again (make sure to back it up in case the world starts to end!)

It could be so many things.

A call to my hosting company fixed it. Thanks, all.

Glad to hear that! BTW, nice site – I’m a big fan of hiking and railroads (and rails to trails) :)!
