    Hi,

We recently upgraded into 3.0.1 and noticed the differing colors of “Rollback” on some plugins vs others on the plugin page. Some are red “Rollback”, some are blue “Rollback”:

Deactivate | Troubleshoot | Rollback <- that’s where the rollback color differs.

Is there a reasoning behind this?

Thank you for the help, and for making such a useful plugin.

    Best,

    Hi @annaam

The red “Rollback” links are for Pro and non-WordPress plugins. The free version of the plugin does create version archives for those plugins, but you will need to upgrade to use the UI to perform a rollback. Note: You can download the archives and manually update them if you do not want to upgrade. If you click on one of the red ones, you will see an upsell page.

I wanted to differentiate the “Rollback” links between free WP.org plugins/themes, but honestly, I don’t think the red color is the right choice. I may just make them all the same normal color so users don’t suspect there’s an issue with the plugin. What do you think?

    Ohhhh okay, that makes sense.

I would agree, I’m not sure red is best as I did think it was indicating something wrong with those plugins, hence why I didn’t even try clicking the red rollbacks.

I think the color difference is important for devs to note what they’d need to rollback manually, if opting out of pro.

I’ve seen companies, like Formidable Forms, use their theme color (for them, orange) to denote pro features. Maybe you could use the purple associated with wp rollback.

Hey @annaam, this is just an update that I removed the color and am simply using the same standard WordPress color for all “Rollback” links.
