I converted a page to the bloc system and it is catastrophic. I can’t use the page any more. I can’t add the kind of blocs I was using (I converted that page because it seemed a perfect fit for the concept), when I duplicate a bloc it doesn’t take the thumbnail with it and I can’t add an image in a new bloc, if I try to add a bloc (an image bloc) within a bloc it always a separate one outside, the up/down buttons on the left don’t work properly, loads of options have disappeared.
And the code it produced is not serviceable when you deactivate the extension. I mean, it still look the same online, but to edit that is a pain in the neck.

Short: How can I reconvert that code to the old, standard html?

OK, I could revert to an old version using the restoration tool.

Deactivating the plugin is not enough if you’ve converted your content to Gutenberg blocks, as the new block format is not 100% backwards compatible.

If you do wish to go back, make sure you’ve either got a backup, or revisions for the post you can revert to.

Thanks. Of course. But it doesn’t help when you have converted a page or article. The new code stays there and you have to search for an old revision.
