Restricting editing access by page & post

    We have 2 capabilities we are seeking for a website:

    • Restrict someone to editing by page or post assigned to them
    • They only be able to save a draft of edits, but not publish

    Does this plugin have such capability?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    The Members – Membership & User Role Editor plugin does not include the ability to:

    1. Restrict a user to editing only specific pages or posts assigned to them, or
    2. Allow a user to save drafts without having permission to publish.

    These capabilities depend on post-level permissions, which WordPress does not support natively, and are outside the scope of this plugin.

    If you need per-post editing restrictions or custom workflows (draft-only roles, editorial control, etc.), you may want to use a dedicated editorial workflow plugin such as PublishPress or another content-restriction tool designed specifically for granular editing permissions.
