    Hi,

when trying to reset password using link from received email there’s a constant “invalidkey” error. User is redirected to default login page with ?action=lostpassword&error=invalidkey, but after going to the home page there’s a success notice and password has been reset.

Looks like error is caused in the _authenticate method, and present mostly in chrome (password reset works in firefox). When plugin is disabled everything works fine.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @winston_wolf,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d like to get some more information, please.

Does this only occur when resetting the password via the my-account page, or does it also occur via the normal WordPress login page?

Do you use any plugins that affect the login page, such as plugins that hide the login page? Does your theme customize the login form? If you deactivate these and activate Wordfence and a default theme, such as Twenty Twenty-Five, do you have any issues resetting the password?

You mentioned this happens in Chrome, but not Firefox. Have you been able to test on multiple devices to rule out any browser extensions you might have installed in your local copy of Chrome?

Please let me know what you find!

    Thanks,
    Margaret

@wfmargaret thanks for fast response. Looks like it works now … we will investigate and test further then. Maybe there was a full combo that caused this issue: custom theme, your plugin and chrome bug.
