I tested the free version on one website and it worked OK.
Main issue was it was slightly confusing that I suddenly during the process needed to pre create a new database and user on the new site when I thought I had already zipped up the old database from the old site? I later saw the reason for that in the detailed help section but it didnt seem intuitive when being guided through the process steps and their instructions in real time.
On another website (on a different server) the packages are created but download
of the mysite.zip keeps failing (Network error is the message given in browser).
    The install file downloads Ok
    Questions:
    1. Is the install file uniquely linked to the archive of a site ?
    2. I can FTP the snapshot folder – what are the essential files within that
which are needed to move a site? Can I just manually place them into the required folder on the new site or do they have to be zipped up with a particular name (ie mysite.zip) to work with the install file?

    Thanks.

  • Hey @patr100,

    1. Yes, the installer and archive files are uniquely linked. If you do happen to lose the original installer. There is also a copy of one inside of the archive zip file named installer-backup.php

    2. The only two files needed for a site move are the installer.php and archive.zip files. There should be one for each build of a site.

    Hope that helps~

Ok thanks, that should give me an FTP accessible workaround for a site migration or even a manual off site back up.

Yes, that should be correct… Thanks~
