Removing things from post types

Hi, I’d like to be able to remove some things (featured image, post published time) from specific post types. For instance in the linked page I’m going for article.sp_player and then adding the specific thing I want to remove, let’s say .mg-blog-date.

If I leave just the .mg-blog-date with the display: none it is in fact not appearing but when there’s article.sp_player in front it’s still appearing. Also tried just .sp_player, still no good 😕
