Remove Media Uploader

    Hello, I wanted to see if there is a way to remove the media uploader pop-up for users. When they click to add media (add an attachment), I only want them to get a standard pop up on their machine to select files from their computer like you would see from any non wordpress website when adding a file. I don’t want users to be able to manage their own files online or access the media uploader….just browse files on their machine and that is it. Thank you!

    Sure, from the front-end for site users / content loaders. I just want them to simply upload a file from their computer without it tying into the WP Media uploader. It would be stored in the media library for the admin, but I don’t want the users to have any additional information, visibility, or access to the files after uploading. thank you,

    Hi @mpearson65,

    I believe it’s either custom code or a plugin. Removal of WP media uploaded will not be a straightforward task. If you remove that, you will be required to write your own code for file upload and validation.
