To remove the link on a Download Manager title, you have to modify the related link template by following this instruction: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/.
Then remove the <a></a> tag from the related file.
Alternatively, In the related template file, please use the [download_url] template tag which should enable the direct download instead of going to the single files.

In fact I got there, thanks to reading your links and voluntarily removing the extension in order to perform a reset.
From there I was finally able to get out of it.
