    Hello,
I’d like to know if I can use your plugin to create a registration form that only asks for username and password.
No email specified, no emails to click, nothing.

I know this may have security implications but this “design” is required exactly like that.
I have found some tutorials about how to do it by creating a custom plug in, but maybe I could avoid this step by using yours.

Last but not least: is this login system compatible with Thrive Architect (a website designer)? It comes with its own login screen customizer but it won’t allow to remove the email field from the forms.

    Hi,
    Yes, you can do that.

You will have to visit the Form menu and adjust the account and register form settings. You can use the username and password in register form by setting “Include this field in register form” option disabled for the email field in the account form builder.

You will need to change the “Registration Action” for the form to “Auto Approve + Auto Login” so that user can directly get logged into the site on registration and then after user can login using username and password.

We have not tested our plugin with Thrive Architect yet, but you can insert our plugin shortcodes just about anywhere shortcodes are allowed. Thrive probably has some sort of ‘code’ or ‘shortcode’ or ‘HTML’ module that will allow shortcodes.

Just one quick note, but I think it goes without saying: if a user loses the password, there will be no way to retrieve it unless you let them add the email address from the account form.
