Hey there
Hope you’re well! 🙂
First, I want you to note that you must use 3rd party text online provider if you will share long lines of code so other member can easily read your ticket. Read more about it here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Posting_Code
Also, I suggest you use a child theme http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes or use css custom plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/ if you will customize your theme.
Add the code you in your child theme’s style.css or using the plugin mentioned above.
@media (min-width: 980px) {
.container {
width: 1120px;
}
#sidebar {
width: 330px;
}
}
This will reduce your site width to 1120px.
Hope it helps! 🙂 Looking forward for your reply! 🙂
Take care,
Calvin
thanks. i will do this and get back
Hey there seyiobasi,
Working with Calvin here 🙂
Just checked your site and it appears that Calvins code is working as you can see in this screenshot http://screencast.com/t/QOYaSATCU2H8.
Maybe it is just a caching issue, please try to clear browser cache and then check for changes.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Bojan
Oh, thanks a lot Bojan. I will do just that.
True it reduces but leaves another problem. See attached image
how do i now reduce the width of the post content and maintain the width of the sidebar at the same time. Ans also reduce the width of the search box too. see the page here: http://www.severalstreamsofincome.com
Thanks so much
Hi seyiobasi,
I can’t see attached image.
But I think I understand what you mean.
Try with adding this CSS:
.content-two-columns {
width: 632px;
}
Let me know if this helps. 🙂
Thanks,
Ivan
