The height of the container might be affected by the height of the elements inside it. Try removing all but one element, and then adjust its settings. My guess is that the issue might be related to the line height of the text.

Working on local installation. Already tried by reducing the height. but it is not working. height increase will work

There may be a minimum height or widget gap set in site settings, this is usually the default spacing, if you make this number smaller, it should shrink the container as well. You may need to upload your local site to an online environment for us to be able to inspect deeper.
