Redirect from Feedburner

    Hi Craig, having imported all our old podcasts from Feedburner, we now want to re-direct subscribers from feedburner to our WP/SSP feed. I’m not sure of the best way to do this, do you have a simple explanation please?

    I know we change the url in iTunes, but for Feedburner?

    HI Dave,

    I’m not terribly familiar with feedburner’s inner workings, but I can tell you that what you want to do is 301 redirect your existing feed URL there FROM feedburner TO your WP site. Most podcasting providers offer this type of field/option.

    If they do not then the next easiest thing to do would be to manually change your feed URL inside your podcastsconnect.apple.com, Stitcher, and Google Play accounts to your new WP based feed URL. This would cover almost all of your bases, while just doing the feed redirect would surely cover every podcasting directory that has your show listed. But if feedburner doesn’t allow for a redirect then this would be a good fallback option.
