Recommended Fade-in lazy-load CSS conflicts with UCSS
-
Gotta tell you folks, on your wiki at https://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php/litespeed_wiki:cache:lscwp:configuration:media:lazy-load-style you recommend CSS to cause lazy-loaded images to fade in, and never bother to point out that if UCSS is on this will cause many images never to display unless you also add
img.litespeed-loadedto the UCSS Allow List. And, worse, it’s not obvious at first, because the problem doesn’t appear after the UCSS has generated, which can be days later, so you have no clear idea what you might have done to cause it. In my case, I hadn’t changed any cache settings in a long time when half my images suddenly stopped showing, but it was very obvious it was LSCWP because as soon as I bypassed the plugin all the images started displaying again. I mean, it makes perfect sense once explained, but, when some of your images just suddenly stop displaying, several days after you last changed any cache settings, yet a few of them do randomly still display, it can be tough to troubleshoot if you don’t have a hint to point you in the right direction.
I lost an entire night to troubleshooting this. Might be nice if you mentioned it so people would know without having to figure it out themselves.
