Hi @adrianjecan,
Glad you are enjoying it so far! If you go to Knowledge -> settings tab there are settings there for auto syncing by post type. When enabled, this will automatically sync any new post, any updated post, and delete any post (or other content types) automatically.
Thanks!
Maxwell
Hi @m4xw3ll,
Thank you for your reply. I saw that setting, but my issue is that, if I enable auto-sync for a certain post type, all new posts will be added to the knowledgebase. Which I don’t want. I want only the existing posts (from that post type) that in the knowledgebase already to be updated.
But if I want to achieve this without enabling auto-sync, I guess I have to remove and add it again manually, when I update one of those posts.
And a side question: how heavy is the knowledgebase data to the WP DB? Can it significantly increase the DB size?
Thank you.
Hi @m4xw3ll, could you confirm if my thinking about the auto-sync is right?
Best!
Hi @adrianjecan,
Apologies for the delay. Your thinking is correct, when auto-sync is enabled it will automatically sync all new posts added, posts deleted, or posts updated. If you currently wanted only certain posts to be updated you would have to do that manually.
I’m open to making this experience better for you – it had never occurred to me previously that individuals may want only certain posts to be auto synced. How many posts are you wanting to auto sync only? Is it like a handful (something you would like to turn on manually for each post) or is it like an entire segment of posts maybe tagged a certain way?
Thanks,
Maxwell
Hi @m4xw3ll,
Thank you for your insights, I appreciate it. In the end, it’s not actually a problem. I have all the products (Woocommerce) auto-synced and the selected posts (which are actually quite many – around 400) don’t need to be updated. The initial issue was with the products, but in the end is ok to auto-sync all products.
But maybe it’s a good use case to consider it in the future, like you said.
Best of luck!
