Put in notes without reloading the page?

im not sure if this is part of its function or maybe its just my site but i was wondering if there was a way to make it where when you push the button to add a note, it does NOT reload the page? To make it where you click it and it just opens and then they can save? I think the page reload would confuse users as it confused me the first time it happened.
