Proper feed redirection

Hello,

If I move a podcast from domain1.com (in my case: deraltemannundderjunge.de) to domain2.com (in my case opawehrlin.de), do I have to let both sites stay online with domain1.com being set like this:

https://postimg.cc/R3C5kVHT (German)

I am irritated by the Pocket Casts manual here: https://support.pocketcasts.com/knowledge-base/podcast-feed-redirection/ saying:

1. Insert this tag into your existing podcast feed, inside the channel tag: <itunes:new-feed-url>[your-new-feed-URL-goes-here]</itunes:new-feed-url>
2. Set your web server to return an HTTP 301 response and redirect when receiving a request for the old feed.

So does your provided setting automatically cover step 2? Or does it mean I have to manually set this as well at my hosting provider environment?
