Product sync issues

Thank you for your patience with all our issues. I have tried to look through them to find help with my issues with the plugin and/or FB, but didn’t find a solution.
The problem:
When I delete all the products from the FB Shop (following this tutorial: https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce-delete-or-reset-all-facebook-products/), I am still left with some products in the shop.
It won’t let me delete those, saying it needs to be done via WooCommerce. However, those are old products, and don’t exist there anymore. Could it be that I reused a WC product, and changed the photo and listing, and that that is causing havoc? However, the new product is visible on FB Shop.
What I have tried:
- I reconnected WC to FB. That worked. However, the issue remains.
- I tried to create a new Catalogue during the configuration of the FB plugin. However, I cannot select it, as it is not linked to the Business or Shop page. So, I went to FB, added the WooCommerce system user to that new Catalogue, and tried again. Alas, no success. So, I do not seem able to use a Catalogue that is created during the configuration of the plugin.
- I tried to delete the Catalogue altogether, to start fresh. But I couldn’t. Everything on FB’s side is sooo confusingly tangled up. Business accounts. Commerce accounts. Ad accounts. Pages linked here, or there. Wanting to move the Shop from a business account to my personal account. they need to be disconnected in other places first. I simply cannot make out what the heck is going on, or how it all works and is tied together.
As a result, I am sticking now with the old Catalogue. I put some products on Archive manually, but they can’t be deleted. I activated sync again and according to the log, it is syncing. I see a few products arriving on the FB shop. Some show as In Stock, when on the website they are not.
All this is so chaotic and I don’t know where to start. I would very much appreciate some in-depth help and assistance — perhaps not here but in a better suited place — to sort this out.
