    Hello, how are you?

We’re having an issue with the “Falang Multilanguage for WordPress” plugin on our WordPress site, which is used to load Elementor.

I’ve already deactivated all the site’s plugins, but the editor only loads normally when I deactivate this plugin.

I’ve updated the permalinks and deactivated plugin by plugin. But nothing helps; only deactivating the plugin will make it load again. We can even edit the homepage (defined as the WordPress homepage), but the editor won’t open on any other page.

When you duplicate the page and it stays in the draft, you can even open it and edit it, but after publishing it, the same problem occurs again.

I can provide access credentials for a copy of this installation if needed.

I see there are some URL rewriting issues with the plugin. From what I’ve seen, it might be a problem activating the “Show slug for main language” feature, which prevents the editor from loading. Even though this option is essential for me, I disabled it. However, I’m now experiencing another issue: some pages are giving a 404 error when I enable URL translation (title, URL, summary). If I disable it, it stays in the site’s default language, and the page returns, but it would be nice to have a custom URL for the correct language. For example: PT: SITE/pt/sustentabilidade / ES: SITE/es/sostenibilidad

Even accessing the “permalinks” page and saving to update the rewrites doesn’t work.

for the link translated you have to translate the slug in a page and don’t forget to publish the translation in the top left of the translation page

    Regarding this:

if you can put the quesetion in Falang for Elementor thread it’s the right thread to ask question on Falang for Elementor

I don’t think it would be correct, as the problem is with the “Falang multilanguage for WordPress” plugin, but I can’t be sure, as you can’t use one plugin without the other. It ends up being complicated to debug.

    Regarding this:

Can you give me a screen capture of the Falang settings , the default language slug don’t have to be enabled with Elementor , it’s in the know issue

I think it would be great if the existing feature in the plugin worked, it’s a shame that a valuable feature hasn’t worked properly for a while.

    Regarding this:

for the link translated you have to translate the slug in a page and don’t forget to publish the translation in the top left of the translation page

    I really didn’t understand.

However, the biggest problem I’m having is that it’s not possible to translate the page’s URL (For example: PT: SITE/pt/sustentabilidade / ES: SITE/es/sostenibilidad), and I’m not using any additional configuration. When I translate the slug, it gives a 404 error, even after updating the permalink, etc.

The problem is in the translation URL, the default URL loads OK if you leave the option I mentioned above disabled.

Using only the “Falang multilanguage for WordPress” plugin the problem remains.

you didn’t send me the screen capture of the Falang settings.

I don’t have the right to ask credential on this forum
