Hi Gabriel,

Just got round to updating the MyCred plugin on my test site. I had the BETA 1.4 version on there, just updated the plugin through the WP plugins section (clicking ‘update now’) and then I just get a white screen.

How am I supposed to updated it after using the beta version? Maybe use a FTP like I had to do to install the BETA version? (forgot I did it that way until after I clicked to update it – Totally my fault!)

Hi.

The beta is updated just as any other version.
If you get a white screen the best thing to do is to move out the mycred folder from the plugins folder using FTP and reload the plugins page. myCRED should then be disabled from your plugins directory.

The most common issue is custom code in your themes functions.php file not working if myCRED gets disabled (which happens when you update the plugin).

If you delete or move the mycred folder form your plugins folder and reload the page, you should see if the custom code causes you any issues (if you use custom code that is).
