Problem with the latest version

    Hi,

    I installed the latest version 2.8.9 but wordpress backend does not work, the latest posts cannot be opened and when I click on the post name it downloads a php file, it does the same thing if I publish a new post. I tried the previous version 2.8.8 but it does the same problem, i think it doesn’t work with wordpress upgrade to 5.8.3

    Hi,

    It is quite unexpected behavior. What are the versions of WP and PHP? Have you tried to deactivate the plugin? Do you have any debug log on your website?

    Hi Nadia,

    Wordpress 5.8.3
    PHP 7.3.33
    if I deactivate the plugin I have no problems
    maybe I need to update the php
    no I’m sorry I will activate the debug log

    Thank you. Hmm, very strange issue. PHP version is just fine. The plugin definitely works with WP 5.8.3, I tested it on a few installations.

    Can you please deactivate all other plugins temporarily to see if some of them affect the issue in any way?

    Also, is this a development version of your website? Would you mind providing access to its admin?

    i have think as you have told of to disable all other plugin, I will itdo tomorow, I am not the owner of the site and for now I cannot give access authorization sorry but I will let you know, if you give me a mail I send you the screens

    Good morning Nadia,

    I tried as you told me, I disabled some plugin, surely there is incompatibility “for my wordpress” with plugin “Co-Authors Plus” when i disable it I can to create new post without problems, but some post previously created “from a date” not work.
    I’ll try to know something more.
    PS. This problem is only with the post not with the page.

    Thank you for more information! So, when EML is active along with Co-Authors Plus then you are experiencing issues with posts, correct?

    Hi Gianluca,

    I just installed Co-Authors Plus and it works without a hassle with EML in my test environment.

    I still need either the debug log or access to any development copy of your website with the problem reproduced on it.
