Hi, we’ve had the pro version of Chaty for a few months now and it’s great, however we still have a huge problem with spam, but only through the WhatsApp widget. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Regarding the spam on WhatsApp, Chaty only redirects visitors from your site to WhatsApp. Once the conversation starts, it takes place entirely within your WhatsApp account.
To help reduce spam, you can adjust WhatsApp’s privacy settings to limit who can reach you, or use a spam protection tool on your WordPress site.
Besides what my colleague suggested, we would recommend that you also add some text to the WhatsApp chat pop up, in the “Welcome message” area in order to guide your website visitors about relevant messages they can send you through the WhatsApp channel. Would you like to give this a try?
