Problem when slug is copied
-
As per this post, I found the following problem:-
When I checked “slug” under elements to copy, then copied a post to a new draft, the new draft was given a new permalink (e.g. ending in “-2”), but the slug remained the same as the original post. So the permalink and the slug were not matching, and there were now two posts with the identical slug.
This caused havoc at the front-end, where sometimes the wrong post would be displayed.
I overcame the problem by unchecking “slug” as one of the elements to be copied, so that when the duplicate post was published, the appropriate slug would be created to match the new permalink.
However, I want to warn users (and notify the developer) that if they check “slug” to be copied in the plugin settings, it creates issues.
