Problem shifting WordPress to root

I have wordpress installed in a sub-folder /wp. I had set it up to send people to site.com/wp using the redirect code mentioned in “Pointing your home site’s URL to a subdirectory“. I then wanted to shift it to site.com and followed the steps give in Moving_WordPress#When_Your_Domain_Name_or_URLs_Change

I even used Velvet Replace URL plugin to set my URLs right. However, my homepage does not display now. However, all other posts and pages opened up with the new URLs.

Any idea what the problem may be?
