    The plugin doesn’t recognize it if size attributes are applied to an image, for example:

Please make sure it has an appropriate as value and it is preloaded intentionally.
    <img width="780" height="516" src="https://50plus.com.ua/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/u-turechchyni-rozkopaly-1800-richnu-systemu-vodopostachannya-780x516.webp" class="pc-singlep-img wp-post-image" alt="у Туреччині розкопали 1800-річну систему водопостачання" decoding="async" fetchpriority="high">

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out and for using Oxyplug Preload!

    I’d like to clarify a few points to help ensure the plugin is working as intended:

    1. Preload Setting: Could you please confirm if the option “Preload featured image automatically? (No need to add URLs)” is enabled in the plugin settings? This option must be turned on for the featured image to be automatically preloaded.
    2. Supported Images: The plugin is designed to preload only the featured image, as it’s typically the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) element and a critical asset for performance. It does not preload images inserted manually via <img> tags, Gutenberg blocks, or page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery). If the image in question isn’t set as the featured image, it won’t be preloaded.
    3. Lighthouse Warning: I’ve checked your page, and the warning you mentioned “was preloaded but not used within a few seconds…” appears to be related to fonts or JavaScript files (possibly added from settings, manually, or by other plugins), not the featured image.

    Regarding conditional preloading based on dynamic settings or specific page elements: while that would offer more control, it would increase complexity and could impact usability and performance. Our goal is to keep the plugin lightweight, intuitive, and effective for the most common use cases.

    If you confirm the above points and still experience issues, let us know. We would be happy to take a closer look.

    Thanks again for your feedback!

    Best regards,
    Oxyplug Team
