Been using Postie for 4 years. Suddently, it goes into a loop, resending message every 5 minutes (that is the setting I use to look for messages). The effect is all recipients receive the same message 12 times per hour. Customers NOT happy. Nothing changed as far as I can tell.

Any thoughts on this would be apprecieated

Are there any errors in the logs? Which mailserver are you using?

Using Dreamhost & GMail. Postie says “success” for each email going out.

Post SMTP says success. Only clue is that “updated to WordPress 6.7.2” happened the morning that the looping send (every 5 minutes) began that afternoon.

Had to deactivate. My customers decided that receiving 100’s of texts instead of just one wasn’t worth the risk. I can no longer test because too much risk of triggering whatever the looping send is. Too complicated to describe. Might not even be your software…

We’re ceasing to offer this service.
