Post Options "Full Width" causing trouble on Homepage

Hello. I appreciate any help because this is becoming very frustrating!

I have my layout setup for two sidebars on the right side of the homepage. My blog posts appear as a feed to the left of the sidebars.

On the actual post pages themselves, I want them to display as “Full Width”. Basically I don’t want to see those sidebar widgets in the actual posts themselves, just the homepage.

When I activate the “Full Width” option under Post Options, it throws my entire homepage out of whack, with the blog post pushing my sidebars down.

Is there any way to get the “Full Width” option working on posts without throwing off the design of my homepage?
