I dont know where exactly was the problem but I sorted it out.
Hey fkoomek, I’m encountering the same problem, do you remember how you solved this?
edit:
If anyone is encountering this problem, the problem is solved by selecting “The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id” in Languages -> Settings. The point is that the homepage in non-default languages should not contain the name of the page (home, home-2, etc.) but only the language suffix, i.e. mysite.com/fr, mysite.com/de, etc.
I hope this is useful to someone.

Hello.
Try to remove the widget and insert it again.
Actually the solution is to select “The front page url contains the language code instead of the page name or page id” in Languages -> Settings.
The point is that the homepage in non-default languages should not contain the name of the page (home, home-2, etc.) but only the language suffix, i.e. mysite.com/fr, mysite.com/de, etc.
Anyway, thanks for your kind answer.
No problem.
Well, that wasn’t my issue because I have always used the settings you mention. I think I solved that by deleting the widget and inserting it again.
