Plugin taken out of WordPress

    Hi there,

    The plugin (which is great by the way, thanks a lot for your work) has been taken out of wordpress a week ago and there is no sign of it coming back on. Is it safe to keep the plugin installed, even disabled, or should we uninstall it until the review is complete?

    Hi @manni02

    The removal is only temporary and it’ll be back very soon.

    It was hit by an over-zealous security researcher misunderstanding how it works, so WordPress removed it from the repository without any consultation with me. I’m a bit p*ssed about the whole saga to be frank!

    Yes, it is completely safe to use in the meantime. I’m working up a patch this weekend and then it’s in the hands of the plugin review team, so how long that’ll take I’ve no idea!

    Thanks for your quick reply, and sorry to hear they didn’t consult with you first, that’s a real bummer.

    Great to know it’s safe to use, I’ll keep it installed.

    I love the plugin, it does the job perfectly, so keep up the great work!
