Sorry to hear that. I’ve gotten a lot of use from this plugin. Hopefully the Markdown module will make it into Slim Jetpack.
Thanks for making it. ^_^
Hi Matt,
First up, a huge thanks for your work on this plugin. It has been immensely helpful to us.
Just a quick question — how do you recommend moving from MoSI to JetPack’s Markdown module? Can I just deactivate this after the update to 2.5 and enable Jetpack’s Markdown module and everything should work as it would?
Update: Nevermind, didn’t realize 2.5 came with a conversion utility. Upgraded, converted, deactivated, moved and all went well.
@miki: You can have a slim Jetpack by just only activating the modules you want. 🙂
@preshit: great, glad it worked.
Hello,
I’ve a little problem with new Markdown module and titles. In Markdown on Save Improved (and other Markdown engines) you can write a title like this
###Title h3
With the new module, it won’t work, you need to add a space like this
### Title h3
It means I will have to modify all the posts of one on my blogs…
I opened a thread on Jetpack forum here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/markdown-module-and-titles
In case you weren’t aware, there are privacy and performance concerns with Jetpack. That is what Slim Jetpack is trying to address.
I used to be able to use your plugin on my self-hosted site, but now it is not self-hosted, because I can’t use it unless I am signed into WordPress.com, via Jetpack. I appreciate that you made this plugin in the first place, but to be clear, you’ve deprecated the self-hosted version.
