    Part one: if option Do not overwrite if post / page has thumbnail assigned already is checked and the editor sets featured image manually then the category thumbnail WILL NOT replace his choice. Therefore editor’s freedom to choose his own featured image is preserved.

    Part 2: this plugin DOES NOT display thumbnails. It ( when active ) sets the featured image for post / page on Publish / Update. When it is not active the featured image which was set already will be displayed but new post will not get featured image automatically. The option Remove plugin’s data from database on uninstall removes plugin’s data from database not featured images from posts.
