[Plugin: Image Focus Point] The plugin simply doesn't work

I’m running a WordPress Network installation. The plugin installs and activates on the primary site fine (http://chicagophoenix.org), I can go in, click edit, then select the focus point with the red circle, then update media. But it doesn’t do anything. The image focus point doesn’t move.
