Clean notifications just changes the links so you see links like Spam instead of long stringy URLs like http://example.ca/wp-admin/comment.php?action=spam&c=10055. WIth HTML Emails you get fully designed emails that look far far better than the stock WordPress emails. Screenshot 🙂
Hope that answers your question!

ok so that means I am switching 🙂
I was just concerned of losing any functionality but it seems you offer way more than the other plugin….

oh and I see you advertise: fully customizable, sweet-lookin' HTML emails so where exactly can I customize my emails?
Glad to hear you’re switching! 🙂
Check out the Plugin Page for info on how to customize the templates.

Ah, I never made it that far. read the description, then installing where I was told: install, activate, ready and was wondering where to customize it 🙂

sorry to bump this, I am finally getting to think about customizing the templates but I wanted to ask if you could provide a sample? Kinda of a default one so I’ve got a starting point?
oh, and this screenshot you provided above: http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/images/inline/notification_new.gif is that the default look or is that a customized version/template already?
You can use the files in the templates folder as a starting point. Just copy them into your theme or your /wp-content/ folder and modify as necessary.

hm, copied the templates into my theme and the notifications still look the same: boring as before 🙁
tried placing the template files in my child theme and in the parent theme, both didn’t work.
need to point out though that I am using wp 3.2RC1 for testing.

sorry to bump, but could anyone confirm if this plugin works with wp 3.2RC1? and maybe with parent/child themes?
