I’d like to be able to show all events except those in a specific category. I can include events using ‘category’=>ID , but the WordPress style ‘category’=> -ID doesn’t work to exclude. Is there any way to do this?

Also, it would be nice to have some extra strings supported for scope, eg. days as well as months!

at the moment, it’s not possible to exclude categories, only by not including them. however in v5 it is as it uses the same arguments as the get_terms http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_terms

Thanks for the new release of EM5 – lots of nice new features. I’m struggling with how to exclude a category still though..

$events = EM_Events::get(array('category'=>'-32', 'orderby'=>'start_date,name'));

Sorry for being slow – any chance of a push in the right direction?

still not possible, only by inclusion, we’ll add that asap but there’s a big line of features to add.
