FYI, I did a verification against WP 6.4 and my plugin still appears to work as expected so I released v1.2.3 for that.
However, I have a v2.0 that is WIP in which I solve the issue of latency of WP notices appearing on the page before being moved to the notices panel. Thus extended plugin compatibility will be rolled into v2.0 π
@pontelabs Great stuff. Yes, all seems to be well with 6.4.1.
I believe any issues with plugins showing misleading notifications in your Show Notices tab are because they have the wrong implementation for their notices, as in they are returned at all times, but hidden with css, and your plugin is just making them visible, when really they shouldn’t exist on the page loading at all. These scenarios, I expect are just going to have to be looking at case-by-case and re-hiding them with css.
I’ll keep an eye out for any more reproducible examples, as I know what it’s like trying to solve things without having the steps to reproduce.
You have good allies here for help with testing, so thanks for what you’re doing, it’s still the best approach to this area that I’ve seen, so I’m sure there’s plenty more growth in downloads to come.

It would be amazing if you could delete the existing Hide Admin Notices and upload this beta version instead on one of your sites!
FYI, out of the box this doesnt support a plugin such as Real Cookie Banner because I plan to add a config page where people can add support for plugins like that that create notices in a non standard way- I think thats the best way to keep everyone happy π
