Plugin deprecated since January
-
CGMP has been in conflict with jQuery since at least January 2013, the release month for jQuery 1.9.
jQuery 1.9 removed the .live() function and specifically says it should be replaced with .on() in existing scripts that depend on .live. CGMP still uses .live in the latest version. You can find it on line 451 of cgmp.framework.js
I don’t know why nobody else has reported this error. Perhaps I’m using a specific feature that not many people use and I’m one of the few who have run into it. Or perhaps everyone was smart enough to make the .live() change themselves.
Whatever the case, since the plugin has been in conflict for 7 months, I’m not holding my breathe for the developer to fix these issues. I think someone should consider taking over CGMP. It’s userbase is large. At a minimum, someone could post a fixed version on their own site and link to it from these forums so we don’t have thousands of programmers having to make the same fixes constantly.
That’s my two cents. Chime in if you’ve got a better idea or if you know how to get the CGMP developer to update the plugin.
