Plugin crashes other JS

Hi there
Can you please have a look at my site https://www.patijo.it/, it seems that your JS crashes with other ones, for example Instagram feed does not work and it work again once I deactiveate cookiebot. Would be grateful for quick response.

When testing this I am not able to identify any JS conflicts.
Could you provide a screenshot of what you see either here or by sending it directly to cookiebot support?

Hi,

I have the same problem with the Javascript of the “Wp store locator” Google map’s map.

And even if there is only the cookiebot’s cookie to accept, according to the cookiebot’s banner showing on my page :

If I accept all the cookies, The map works.
If I only accept necessary cookies (1 only for cookiebot only, other cookie categories are shown to be zero, there it does not work.

I can show you a video of that, but after this video, I will deactivate the cookiebot script waiting for a fix 🙂

I just saw that a similar post was giving a bit of a solution :
turning the automatic mode to manual, waiting fot @cookiebot to resolve this.

I hope we will soon be able to use thise great plugin, using the automatic blocking feature.

Hi Côme,

Judging from your video, the script actually does what it’s supposed to. You see, Google Maps sets marketing cookies, so to be able to use Google Maps, consent is required.

If the map is essential for the service your website is meant to provide, you can assign the “necessary” category to the cookie this script sets in the manager. This will allow the script to run without prior consent.

If the map is not essential, I would recommend using placeholders. This will make the site look normal, and you have a second chance to get consent to marketing cookies.
